When steeped in boiling water, the buds open up and unfurl into translucent white petals. This is accompanied by an elegant aroma, prompting drinkers in the days of old to descried these superior chrysanthemum buds as ‘lucid jade of a thousand layers’. Brewing Hint
Add a few chrysanthemum into glass, pour in fresh boiled water at 100°c, steep for approx, 3-5 minutes, serve. Drink it plain if prefer a rather natural refreshing taste and aroma. Alternatively, add in rock sugar, honey or Chinese wolfberry to enhance its thirst quenching effect.
