Favourable Ecological Environment
Wuyi Yan Cha is grown in the nature Mount Wuyi which is located in the north-eastern part of Fujian Province, China. There are combinations of high peaks and rocks (a lot of 36 peaks and 99 renowned rocks) with longitudinal valleys, which forms the legacy of world culture and nature. The tea is grown in the dent, fissure, crevice in the rock and rock coast where the warm, moist air gives the region its humid, often foggy climate with plenty of rainfall. There are winding streams between the peaks and rocks, and the mountains surrounded form a protective barrier against cold air masses. These provide a favourable environment for the cultivation of Wuyi Yan Cha which contains a unique rock and flora aroma. As an old saying goea, “Where there is rock, there is Yan Cha.” Wuyi Yan Cha thus gains its rep.

A Shui Hsien made from old bushes that may be as old as 100 years. The taste and appearance will signify it as an  Oolong Tea.

Shui Xian (Chinese: 水仙; pinyin: shuǐ xiān; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: chúi-sian) meaning narcissus or water spriteis an Oolong tea from Mount Wuyi, it has a heavy honey fragrance. The infused color is very dark brown showing that the tea is a very dark Oolong.
