16' YUNNAN PURPLE CANE 7572 RIPE PUER TEA
'7572' ripe puer tea cake are made with raw leaves harvested from the famous ancient tea regions of Mount Yiwu, Mount Bada and Mount Nanluo in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Sun-fixated broad leaves of the arbor varietal tea trees are used following the best possible proportion of bud tip (the golden buds on the surface of the tea cake), top (the top layer of the tea cake), core (the middle layer of the tea cake), and the base (the bottom layer of the tea cake). Traditional fermentation method is employed. The finished product, compressed into tea cakes, is rich and smooth.
The tea cakes are properly shaped with the right degree of compression applied. Naturally glossy with visible golden buds, the tea yields a pure aroma, full-bodied and mellow flavour, bright coppery infusion and neat leaves.
7572 ripe puer tea cake and 7542 green puer tea cake are two popular teas developed, produced and exported to Hong Kong in 1975. This tea differs from green puer in that ripe puer has a smooth, harmonious and mellow flavour thanks to the pile fermentation process. 7572 showcases the appealing characteristics of different raw leaves, including those from the ancient tea forests of Mount Yiwu and Mount Bada that have more pronounced aroma and flavour, and those from the ancient tea forests of Nanluo, which has a brisk and clear aroma, lending 7572 ripe tea cake its signature well-rounded and full-bodied flavour. 70% of the raw tea leaves has reached the qualified grade 7 specification. hence the export number "7572" - "75" indicates the year 1975 during which the tea was successfully produced and exported, "7" indicates the major grade characteristics of the raw tea leaves, and "2" indicates the number of its place of origin, Menghai.
